Oller del Mas receives two awards at the Vinari awards: the best wine tourism project 2020 and the bronze Vinari for the Petit Bernat black. In its eighth edition, the organization has incorporated a new category that rewards the best wine tourism project.
Last Friday, October 9, Vilafranca del Penedès Auditorium hosted the eighth edition of the Vinari Awards, the already well-known Catalan wine awards. The event presented awards in 12 categories in which 850 references from 240 wineries in the 12 Catalan DOs competed.
The organization and the jury awarded the prize to the Bages winery in recognition of its consolidated commitment to wine tourism as a tool for disseminating the winery and its territory of origin, the Pla de Bages. In his candidacy, Oller del Mas highlights his commitment to a sustainable project, integrated with the environment, and enhancing well-being by offering all kinds of personalized experiences. The ambitious project will culminate in the spring of 2020 with 24 sustainable cottages in the forest and a wellness center that will allow visitors to live immersive experience, connected to nature and well-being. Currently, the winery receives more than 115,000 people but always with a small group format and with different wine tourism proposals adapted to the needs of each group.
For Frank Margenat, owner of the winery, this is a recognition that rewards perseverance, effort, and passion to achieve what is the dream of his life. A project for the future, sustainable, and unique in the world that combines gastronomy, culture, health, and well-being in a privileged place.
