Following our line of compromise with the production of high-quality wines, we present two new exceptional wines that honor the philosophy and tradition.
Especial Macabeu 2019 and the Especial Garnatxa 2018 present the maximum expression and singularity of the plots from which they come.
Especial Macabeu 2019 is the fruit of the Quintanavella, a plot planted in 1987 after the devastating fire of Montserrat in 1986. A single varietal white wine, 100% Macabeu, subtly aged in wood for six months and aged in bottle for more than forty months. Only 1,694 bottles have been released.

Especial Garnatxa 2018 is a tribute to the versatility of this beloved variety that is spread throughout the Iberian Peninsula and the Mediterranean region. Planted in the highest and steepest area of the Estate, it is presented as a unique expression of the soil. 100% Garnatxa Negra, aged in wood and cement vats for fifteen months and aged in bottle for 40 months. Only 1,633 bottles are available.

Garnatxa negra, combined with 15% slopes and a sandy loam soil very disaggregated and with little presence of “tapaç”. Here it shows a very subtle side. At the same time the fermentation was spontaneous, and this led us to obtain an even more authentic wine.” Carles Muray
The labels of these two wines are presented with a discreet and neutral design where typography is the protagonist, the typewriter of Frank Margenat’s (the owner) great-grandfather, a 1904 Remington, has been used, highlighting the history and commitment to the family.
The Garnatxa Special and the Macabeu Special represent the preamble to future single-varietal excellences of the winery.
