Certified organic production

At Oller del Mas we have chosen to produce our wine organically and have been certified by the Catalan Council for Ecological Agrarian Production (CCPAE). No utilitzem cap substància de síntesi química sinó que creiem en la gestió raonable i controlada d’abonaments orgànics. No fem servir ni herbicides ni pesticides sinó que apliquem tècniques com l’abonament en verd i el compost orgànic. In addition, Oller del Mas is carbon footprint certified and is the top-ranking wine estate in Catalonia and the third in the whole world when it comes to the lowest carbon emissions (0.7 grammes per litre).

We subject our vines to our own controls, with no intervention from external factors that do not meet our strict standards. Throughout the year we constantly implement control systems, use products and carry out the work needed to protect our vines from disease, rather than having to cure them.

We do almost all the grape-picking by hand and we carry the grapes in 15 kg boxes so that the fruit is still intact when it reaches the production area, just a stone’s throw from the vines.

By carefully selecting the grapes, we can always guarantee that we have the very best ingredients for our wines.
