Vineyards with a unique millennium of history
The Oller del Mas legacy has over 1000 years of history
Located around the medieval castle, which dates back to the X century and was completely renovated between 1981 and 2008, the land is imbued with the fascinated history of the Ollers: knights, nobles, distinguished men, men of the church and master craftsmen who have left their mark on the history of the country. A place which Saint Ignatius of Loyola passed through in the XVI century, on his pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
The portraits of Joan, Bernat, Arnau, Jeroni, Jaume, Bonifaci and other members of the Oller family, painted in the Middle Ages and still hanging on the castle walls, are a testament to this unique history. This history is still be written today, over 1,000 years later, thanks to its extraordinary wines.
Family, respect for the environment and a commitment to the land
The Margenat family have inherited an estate with a millennium of history behind it. We preserve this legacy with love and work passionately to bring it up to date with modern times.
This is why we are dedicated to producing excellent, quality wines, produced with the values that our ancestors passed on to us: family, respect for the environment and a commitment to the land.
On the family coat of arms, three golden pots appear against a green background. Oller means potter, and that’s why, in the midst of vineyards, there is a stone oven from the XIII century. We have recently fired up the oven again so we can again produce pots using clay from the estate.
